Now the city’s Archaeological Department has joined up with local cat associations to offer a unique guide to the glory that was Rome. The project’s title – ‘Discovering the Famous Archaeological Sites Where Emperors Ruled and Now Cats Reign’ – says it all. Three famous feline hangouts are open to the public for special tours of both monuments and cats: Trajan’s Markets, the Pyramid of Cestius and Largo Argentina. Tours are in Italian and English.

One World is the largest festival in Europe of documentary films on the theme of human rights. Sponsored by the non-profit organisation People in Need and Czech Television, the selection this year offers some standouts that are being screened at the Archa Theatre. The festival opens with a rock concert April 6 at 8pm. Discussions with directors and a videos archive of all submissions will accompany such films as Aldo Lee’s ‘White Farmers, Black Land’ and ‘Walking on Ashes’ by Sorious Somura.
