While making a documentary on Havana and the circle of musicians that form the Buena Vista Social Club, both Wim Wenders and his wife Donata took a large number of photographs. While Wim betrayed his film-making obsessions with broad and colourful panoramas of the country, Donata focused her camera to make more atmospheric black-and-white portraits of the musicians themselves. Shown together, they form a heart felt picture of Cuba today.
