Rome’s youth choir celebrate their patron saint with a little help from Janácek, a modern master who knew a thing or two about sacred choral music. The Santa Cecilia Youth Choir led by Martino Faggiani performs Janácek’s Mass in B flat minor, accompanied by organist Concezio Panone. Few things could be more pleasant than a free, mid-morning concert in one of Rome’s most OTT Baroque churches. Before the event, be sure to take a peek at the Rococo exuberance of the stucco-laden Santa Cecilia chapel to the right of the main altar.
